At the centre of this one-of-a-kind statement ring sits a beautifully clear, generously sized oval Crystal Quartz, raised above a heavily textured sterling silver base. The texture beneath catches and reflects the light back through the stone, creating an almost ethereal glow as the ring moves on the hand.
Framed by twin Crescent Moons and surrounded by warm gold, the Crystal Moon Statement Ring brings together some of my favourite elements of the Mystic Menace world — celestial symbolism, sacred geometry, contrasting metals and the wonderfully imperfect character of a piece made entirely by hand.
THE DESIGN
The large oval Crystal Quartz is set by hand into a 14k yellow gold-fill bezel, which has been given a subtle patina to soften and warm the gold into a slightly rosier tone.
A pair of sterling silver Crescent Moons frame the Quartz at the top and bottom. The patina has also been deliberately allowed to settle into the recesses surrounding the moons, creating depth and helping their shape stand proudly against the golden setting.
The ring continues around the finger as a distinctive split shank — one band in sterling silver and the other in 14k yellow gold fill — finished with tiny hand-stamped markings that add another layer of detail and make the ring unmistakably one of a kind.
CRYSTAL QUARTZ
Often referred to as the Master Healer, Crystal Quartz is associated with clarity, balance and amplification.
Energetically, it is believed to help clear stagnant energy, bring focus to our intentions and reconnect us with our own inner knowing. Its beautiful transparency feels particularly symbolic here — a reminder that clarity doesn't necessarily mean knowing the entire path ahead, but simply being able to see the next step.
THE CRESCENT MOON
The Crescent Moon represents intuition, changing cycles, feminine wisdom and new beginnings.
Appearing above and below the Quartz, the two crescents almost hold the stone between them — a reminder that we are continually moving through phases of becoming, releasing and beginning again.
Sometimes only a sliver of light is needed to show us where to go next.
THE OVAL
The oval, or ellipse, represents flow, adaptability and life's unfolding journey.
Unlike a circle, its elongated form suggests movement — encouraging us to soften into change rather than resist it, and to trust that we can evolve without needing to know exactly where that evolution will take us.
